You built the business. Your financial operations should keep up.

Osprey CFO is the outsourced finance team for established, owner-led small and mid-size businesses — accounting, controller support, and CFO strategy, so your decisions get made on real numbers.

Fluent in the stack you already use

The numbers problems that show up at this stage

None of these mean something is wrong with your business — they mean it has outgrown the financial function underneath it.

Financials arrive weeks after the month ends

By the time last month's numbers land, they're a rear-view mirror — the decisions that needed them already got made without them.

You've outgrown your current setup

The part-time help or single in-house person who kept up fine at one entity and one location is now underwater — and nobody is reviewing their work.

No margin visibility by location or line of business

You know the company made money — you can't say which locations, service lines, or product lines drove it.

Multi-entity complexity nobody reconciles cleanly

Intercompany transfers, shared expenses, and owner loans move between entities — and nobody can produce a clean, consolidated picture of the whole.

What changes with Osprey

The same business, before and after a real finance function.

Before
  • The owner is still the review layer for every number
  • Financials lag weeks behind the month they describe
  • Entities and accounts nobody fully reconciles
  • Cash surprises despite healthy revenue
With Osprey
  • A disciplined close that lands days after month end
  • Consolidated statements plus margin by entity and location
  • Controller-level process across payroll, AP, and spend
  • Forward cash visibility instead of rear-view reporting

Built for established, owner-led businesses

Our clients are big enough that the finances have real complexity — but not big enough to justify a full-time finance department.

Multi-Location Operators

Consolidated financials plus a clean P&L for each location, so you can compare performance honestly.

Service Companies with Growing Teams

We track labor cost against the revenue it produces, so a growing headcount stays a profitable one.

Distribution & Trades at Scale

We keep the full cash cycle visible, so growth doesn't quietly outrun the balance sheet.

Preparing for What's Next

Expansion, acquisition-readiness, or an eventual transition all start the same way: clean, credible financials.

Flat monthly fee, quoted up front.

No hourly billing, no surprise invoices, no meter running when you call with a question — one flat monthly fee that covers everything in your scope.

Tell us about your business and we'll send a flat monthly quote tailored to exactly what you need.

The honest answers.

How does pricing work? +
One flat monthly fee, quoted up front based on your size, complexity, and the support you need. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices — tell us about your business and we'll send you an exact number before you commit to anything.
Do I have to switch software or tools? +
No. We work in the systems you already run, including QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, Ramp, and Bill.com. We meet your business where it is, clean up what needs cleaning, and build from there.
What kinds of businesses do you work with? +
Established, owner-led small and mid-size businesses — often with multiple entities, multiple locations, or a growing team. That includes multi-location operators, service companies, and distribution and trades businesses. If your finances have outgrown a part-time solution or a single in-house person, but a full-time finance department is more than you need, you're exactly who we built this for.
We already have someone in-house. How do you work with them? +
However it works best for you. For some clients we serve as the complete finance function. For others we work alongside an in-house person — adding a disciplined monthly close, a review layer, and CFO-level oversight they were never meant to carry alone. Either way, you get more structure without adding headcount.
How fast can we get started? +
Most companies are fully transitioned within their first 30 days, including clean-up of prior months and any multi-entity untangling. It starts with a 20–30 minute discovery call — no obligation, and you'll leave with a clear read on your current setup.
Will you work with my existing CPA or tax preparer? +
Absolutely. We partner with your CPA throughout the year — keeping your financials clean, organized, and current so nothing piles up. At year end, we act as the liaison between you and your tax preparer, making sure they have everything they need to file accurately and on time. Don't have a CPA? We'll refer you to trusted tax partners.
